In January 2017, the Kinder Foundation made a $500,000 gift to Pro-Vision, a non-profit offering youth of southeast Houston the guidance and support they need to realize their full academic and moral potential.

The donation supports the state charter school located in Sunnyside and its capital campaign to expand facilities and increase enrollment by 50%.

Pro-Vision’s character development and urban farm programs are designed to develop educated, financially independent, community-minded young leaders who will become active, productive citizens of their community. To date, Pro-Vision has served 4,000 youth from Houston’s most vulnerable neighborhoods.
