Kathryn R. Dollins

Office Manager & Assistant Secretary

Kathryn oversees the Foundation and Family Office and also serves as assistant secretary for the Kinder Foundation Board and Advisory Board. As a licensed attorney in the state of Texas, she holds certifications in mediation and family mediation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was in private practice representing and consulting clients regarding family law and estate planning issues as well as being a contract attorney at AESCO. She has also served as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Center for Harris County and at Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts.

Gary Dudley

Chief of Staff

Gary oversees the operations of the Kinder Foundation and Family Office. He is a CPA and a retired Deloitte tax partner with nearly 40 years financial management and accounting expertise with previous responsibilities stretching from Houston to Kansas City to Denver. He has worked closely with the Kinders for nearly 20 years.

Aarti Garehgrat

Director of Finance

Aarti is a CPA and is responsible for the financial planning, analysis, accounting, and reporting for the Kinder Foundation and Family Office. She was previously a manager at McGladrey LLP where she worked on tax planning issues for high net worth family groups. She also served as Ghana Country Manager for the Initiative for Global Development on a project funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. Prior to that, she began her career as a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York.

Guy Hagstette, FAIA

Vice President of Parks & Civic Projects

Guy is a registered architect and urban planner who directs the foundation’s mission for Houston’s parks and greenspaces and its focus on community and civic projects. He was a consultant to the Foundation and Houston Parks Board on Bayou Greenways 2020 and also on the improvements on Buffalo Bayou Park for the Buffalo Bayou Partnership. He was the founding president and park director of Discovery Green; served as special assistant for urban design to Mayor Bill White; and was director of planning and development for Central Houston, Inc.

Christina Johnson

Receptionist

Christina provides administrative support for the Kinder Foundation and Family Office. Prior to joining the Foundation, Christina was a teacher with both Houston Independent School District and Corpus Christi Independent School District. She has also instructed internationally, spending two years in Kyoto, Japan teaching English to Japanese-speaking students.

Sabrina Kirwin

Chief Financial Officer

A CPA, Sabrina oversees the financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the Foundation and Family Office. Prior to joining the Kinder team, Sabrina spent nine years with Deloitte Tax LLP. In her time at Deloitte, Sabrina served as Chief of Staff for the Houston Tax practice (managing financial results and coordinating events) and Central Region Learning Manager (coordinating learning initiatives across 26 Central region offices). She was also a top-performing manager within the Private Wealth Practice and interned in the International Tax Practice.

Sarah Newbery

Director of Parks

Sarah coordinates partnership and leads initiatives related to the foundation’s park projects. Prior to joining the foundation, she served as Project Director for Memorial Park at Uptown Houston where she managed the planning process for the Memorial Park Master Plan alongside Memorial Park Conservancy and Houston Parks and Recreation Department. She currently serves on the board of Trees for Houston, the Steering Committee for Houston Botanic Garden, and the advisory boards of Hermann Park Conservancy and the Peckerwood Garden Conservation Foundation.
